Obituary: Josephine Badgely

Josephine Badgley, 90, of St. Paul, passed away May 12, 2017 at her residence.

Born March 4, 1927 in Russell County Kentucky, she was the daughter of Onnie McQueary and Sadie Lou (West) McQueary. She married Ralph Howard Badgley and he passed away in 1997.

Survivors include: sons Ardis W. Tucker, Sr. (wife Sandra) of St. Paul, Bill Badgley (wife Audrey) of Bowling Green Kentucky, & Rick Badgley (wife Cathy) of Shelbyville, daughter Sue Reynolds (husband Don) of Kentucky; 3 sisters - Opal Tucker of Kentucky, Daphine Popplewell of Kentucky, & Bulah Armstrong of Shelbyville; 12 grandchildren, and several great, and great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, spouse, and several brothers and sisters.

Mrs. Badgley had lived in this area for over 50 years, after moving from Kentucky. She was a homemaker and was a former member of the Moose Lodge of Shelbyville. Josephine loved children, and was always rooting for the underdog. She enjoyed helping those in need.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 18, 2017 at 11:00 am at Glenn E. George & Son Funeral Home, 437 Amos Road, with Rev. Jim Stephens officiating. Friends may pay their respects on Wednesday evening from 4-8:00 pm at the funeral home. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery in Shelbyville.
